Since its introduction in 1990, Hepatitis B series has been given as a routine childhood vaccination. For those born before 1990, the CDC recommends vaccination for individuals who have occupational or lifestyle risk factors.

The Hepatitis B vaccine series consists of 3 doses; 0 (today), 1 month & 6 months. Upon completion of the series, it is believed that most people will carry lifetime immunity.
